Abstract

Trichoderma, as a living agent, is known to enhance soil fertility and plant resistance to diseases. The research method used a field experiment design with several treatments of Trichoderma organic fertilizer. This study aimed to evaluate the effect of Trichoderma organic fertilizer application on the growth and yield of eggplant (Solanum melongena L.) in the Sumber Makmur Farmer Group, Rusun Warugunung. The research results show that Trichoderma application significantly increased plant height, fruit number, and fruit weight compared to the control (without organic fertilizer). This increase is suspected to be due to Trichoderma's ability to improve soil structure and increase nutrient availability. Therefore, the use of Trichoderma organic fertilizer can be recommended as an alternative to chemical fertilizers for more sustainable and environmentally friendly eggplant cultivation.
